I bet I know what you’re thinking…..What’s a guy like that doing with a gorgeous woman like her! Sometimes when I catch myself looking at our wedding picture on my desk, I wonder the same thing. As the saying goes – a picture is worth a thousand words. My wife, Aksana, is gorgeous, isn’t she? Not only is she beautiful. She has an engineering degree from Moscow University. She speaks five languages. She is a fabulous cook, immaculate housekeeper, and a wonderful mother to our three year old daughter. Ask yourself, where is a guy like me going to find a woman like that in Western civilization today? Not possible, you say. Certainly, not likely. I’m not rich. I’m not famous. I’m just an ordinary guy like you. "He Was Almost In Tears..."my friend Pat said to me, shaking his head. Pat had just come from a visit to a co-worker of his, who related to Pat the agony of his marital breakup. Pat was sharing his co-worker’s experience with me.Pat told me his friend said to his ex-wife that… “all he was looking for was an old fashioned girl, who wanted to love and be loved, who wanted to have a happy family life together, who had traditional family values -- just like his mother.” His friend’s ex-wife just sneered at him and said, “The kind of woman you’re looking for doesn’t exist!” My friend Pat told me that he looked at his dejected friend for a moment and then said quietly, “That’s not true. My friend, John, is married to a woman exactly like that.” His teary eyed friend looked up at him in amazement. Pat continued, “Yeah, a couple of years ago he went over to Russia and found a wonderful woman. They got married and now they have a little girl. He’s as happy as a pig in mud.” His friend smiled at Pat through his tears. He had just found the scrap of hope that he had thought was lost forever.
